Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 large red onion chopped
  • 3 cups plain tomato sauce
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire Sauce
  • 8 tbsp Smokin' Summer Spice Dry Rub

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic and sauté for just a few minutes until the onions soften but do not brown.
  2. Add all of the remaining ingredients and simmer very slowly for about 45 minutes or until the volume of the sauce reduces by about 1/4.
  3. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks or properly ca/bottle the sauce in Mason jars according to the manufacturers instructions to enjoy over the coming months.
