Hi folks! Merry Christmas. If you haven’t joined Rock Recipes on Facebook, it’s the perfect time to do so!
Spouses cousin Christine is an amazing crafter and sewing wiz in Goose Bay, Labrador. She makes a limited amount of these Santas in traditional native northern dress each year.
My sister Barb, who is an adventure tour guide with Adventure Canada on their northern excursions, tells me that the popover fur edged coat is called a “Qulittaq” pronounced Cool-Lit-Tack. They all will have this item of clothing in common. The Blue and green represents the colours of the Labrador flag.

Each one is unique in design. No two are alike. We have 3 in our own home and now you can have one in yours. We have two more of these to give to lucky followers before Christmas!
