Chocolate Chip Cherry Bars with Cream Cheese Frosting. These slightly chewy cookie bars have plenty of dried cherries and chocolate chips baked inside with decadent layer of cream cheese icing on top. They also freeze quite well for holiday baking.
These Chocolate Chip Cherry Bars bars are a terrific treat at any time of the year. But, they make an especially great addition to your Christmas baking list to make weeks in advance and freeze.
I like dark chocolate chips in this recipe but you can substitute any kind you want. Even white chocolate chips if you like. I think that would be a great flavour combination with the dried cherries..
Dried cherries are great in this recipe but you can also substitute dried cranberries if you like.

Love, Love your recipes. These chocolate chip cherry bars look like a keeper. But I would need to double the recipe as I'm doing a bake sale for our local legion. Please advice.
