Easter Bunny Farts with  a surprise centre!

Well, it sort of had to happen!

After the runaway success of our original Moose Farts recipe, other versions soon followed over the past Holiday season, with Reindeer Farts, a caramel Caribou Farts version and then a Santa Farts version for good measure.

We also concocted a kids birthday party themed version, the very colourful Unicorn Farts version!

The colours of Easter.

As soon as the Holiday rush was over I had several questions come along over the following months. Was there going to be an Easter Bunny variety?

Of course, we had to oblige. With the Easter season so consumed with chocolate, that was an obvious base flavour to consider.

Time to hide the eggs!

The “central” ingredient!

A couple of emails included the suggestion that I already had in mind. At the centre of the cookie confection should be a Cadbury’s Mini Egg.

They are a serious addiction on our family, and just having the large 2 pound bag in the house presented a danger that they would all be eaten before the recipe was ready!

They look very Easter festive, don’t you think?

We held our reserve and did not open the bag until the day came to prepare the cookies and get some colourful photos to accompany the recipe. We finished the job off this morning and they turned out to be delicious little morsels.

Easter Bunny Farts.

In the interest of full disclosure, I will admit that a small ramekin full of mini eggs sits beside my computer, even as I write this and munch away. I will have Spouse hide the bag, so that there will be some left when our great nieces come for an extended family visit and feast this coming Sunday.

I may just have to freeze the Easter Bunny Farts as well, lest they suffer the same fate. Happy Easter to all who celebrate. Ans be sure to sneak in a Fart or two! HA!
