Coupled with a simple rice or pasta dish, this makes a great workday meal in only about 20 minutes! These work very well with broiled pork chops as well, just make sure you move the broiler rack lower during the glazing process.

The great thing about the added glaze is that you can cook the pork chops however you like, depending on the season. They can be cooked on the backyard grill, under the broiler or pan seared.

Honey Ginger Dijon Glazed Pork Chops. A super simple glaze, gets brushed repeatedly onto these perfectly cooked, juicy chops in one of the easiest & most flavourful pork chop recipes you'll ever try.

Ingredients

  • 6 pork loin chops, thick cut will work best

For the glaze

  • 2 tbsp fresh grated ginger root
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/2 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tbsp dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper and grill lightly for only a couple of minutes per side. (If pan searing the pork chops, cook them almost completely before draining off the excess oil and adding the glaze to the pan and turning the chops for a couple of minutes in the pan.)
  2. After turning once, begin brushing on the glaze, turning the pork chops every minute for about 5 -6 minutes or until they are completely cooked to about 160 degrees F on a meat thermometer inserted into the center.
  3. Let the pork chops rest for 5 -10 minutes before serving.

To make the glaze

  1. Simply simmer all the glaze ingredients together over medium low heat for about 10 minutes.
  2. Watch the glaze carefully, you want a gentle simmer or the honey on the glaze will foam up considerably and possibly boil over.

Yummy I seasoned my chips with salt ,pepper ,rosemary and a little smoked paprika for color. Reduced the amount of salt and pepper in the sauce because my chops were rather thin . Great sauce !!

Hi Barry! Thank you for the recipe. Quick question. I have some ginger syrup from Purdy's chocolate factory. Do you think I could sub it for the honey?
