Top Ten Christmas Recipes of 2025. The most popular and most viewed recipes on RockRecipes.com during the 2025 Holiday season.
In Rock Recipes 19th Christmas online, we have seen incredible surges in traffic during the build up to the Holiday season.
Up to 3 million views of our recipes a month can be expected in the final couple of months of the year. While we see increases in Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner recipes, the real surge in interest is in Holiday baking.
In fact our top ten is almost always exclusively baking recipes. If a savory recipe cracks the top ten you’d better try it! It has to be good to outpace our Holiday treat recipes!
In taking a look at what is currently popular this year, a couple of things become notable. Firstly I observed just how many of the most used recipes have been the same from the start, back in 2007.
In conjunction with the first, it was also notable how hard it is for a new recipe to crack that top ten in any year. Folks sure do like the old ried and true recipes!!
But that doesn’t mean it’s impossible. Take a look at this years list and see how many you’ve tried, you recognize, or want to.
I think this may become an updated yearly list to highlight the most successful new recipes and pay tribute to our old stalwarts. Enjoy this year’s best recipes as determined by you, our faithful followers.

Top Ten Christmas Recipes
Top Ten Christmas Recipes of 2025. The most popular and most viewed recipes on RockRecipes.com during the 2025 Holiday season.
Let's start with an Honourable Mention to a very recent recipe that's already at number 11 this year. Quite a feat for a new recipe!! Orange Creamsicle Chiffon Squares. A new twist on a favourite no bake cookie square that can even be served as a frozen dessert. Super easy too!
Newfoundland Christmas Slush - a frosty blend of pineapple and citrus juices frozen together with amber rum to create the base for a delicious Holiday cocktail.
Eat-More Bar Squares - an easy candy confection! These chewy and crunchy candy squares are the perfect marriage of peanut and chocolate flavours. Great for gift giving at the Holidays too.
Newfoundland Cherry Cake is a big local favourite especially during the Holidays. The secret in this recipe is undiluted evaporated milk for added richness.
Gumdrop Cake. A dense buttery pound cake packed with brilliantly coloured morsels of gumdrop candy. It's very popular during the Holidays or as a birthday cake here in Newfoundland
Old English Fruitcake - A dark, rich, well spiced old fashioned English style fruitcake that can be made weeks in advance of Christmas.
5 common ingredients make one perfect cookie.
The Best Classic Canadian Butter Tarts - there's a reason why we have a national obsession with these sweet, buttery, caramel-y tarts. I've sampled them in many places across the country and this thick pastry version is my favorite. Don't do the raisin debate, just leave them out if they are not your thing. Everyone should be able to enjoy them as they like them.
Newfoundland Snowballs - the most searched for Newfoundland recipe on RockRecipes.com. Soft chocolate fudge balls with the goodness of oatmeal and coconut. These freeze exceptionally well and my kids actually prefer to eat them frozen, just like I did as a child.
Rock Recipes was first to put this recipe online in 2017. It has been copied hundreds of times on other sites since! But we were the original! Moose Farts - A super easy to prepare, no-bake cookie treat that kids will love and maybe giggle a little at the name too.
