Orange Creamsicle Chiffon Squares. A new twist on a favourite no bake cookie square that can even be served as a frozen dessert. Super easy too!

Here's a recipe that I've been promising the folks over on our FACEBOOK PAGE, for a while now.
It's been so incredibly bust around here planning for the Christmas baking season that I'm behind on everything. I always think I can do more in an allotted time than I can.
I'm only one man! LOL!
In any Case this is the tird in our Chiffon Squares Collection. We also have the original Strawberry Version and a tangy Lime Version! A Raspberry version has been photographed, so that's coming soon too.

I loved the orange citrus flavour in these anc combined with the whipped cream in the mix really dooes remind me of an Orange Creamsicle Ice Cream treat.
Try them and see if you agree. I wonder what flavour I'll make next?

TIP!! be sure to very finely chop the zest of the orange. This releases the natural orange oil in the skin and andds more intense flavour!

Can't wait to try this new flavourful.
How long can I freeze for? I want to make ahead for Christmas company.
For weeks ahead if time. You're good.
How much cool whip topping is needed for substitute for the 16 oz whipped cream called for.
I’ve made every version of these and also lemon ones following the lime recipe. They are fantastic. I have had trouble with the base so I tried something different. I put the mixture in muffin pans and pop a plain cookie on the top. I freeze them, then put them in a hot water dip for a few seconds so I can pop them out. Individual servings and no hassle with the base. We cannot keep them in the house and everyone has a flavour they like best.
I LOVE THIS IDEA! I may try that myself and just crop the crumb mixture in top! What kind of cookies do you use?
