As promised, here is that recipe for Maple Chipotle Barbecue Baked Beans that go so well with the Maple Chipotle Pulled Pork recipe featured yesterday or as a side dish with any southern barbecue meal.
We also served the meal with some of my favourite Southern Corn Flour Biscuits. The leftover biscuits were served with the pulled pork on breakfast sandwiches the next morning.
I highly recommend making extra pulled pork if need be, just to have the leftovers for this delicious breakfast.

We often make large batches of these beans and freeze them in airtight containers. This can be done with a whole batch or with single serving containers which can be used for quick lunches or as an addition to a big weekend breakfast.

White Beans. I use navy beans for =baked beans but some smaller white beans may even take longer to cook.
An important note to to make sure you soak the beans for 24-48 hours. I like to change the water after soaking all night, then soak again overnight. The note in the recipe about adding additional water is also very important.
