#25:Newfoundland Raisin Tea Buns AKA Raisin Scones. Although this one is not listed specifically as a scone on Rock Recipes, I felt this collection would not be complete without our very popular Traditional Newfoundland Tea Buns.
A close cousin to scones or biscuits, this is an essential recipe that everyone's Mom or Nan made. Perfect with a steaming cup of tea.
#20: Apple Cinnamon Scones with Cream Cheese Glaze. Tender, soft, fragrantly spiced apple cinnamon scones with chunks of fresh sweet apples and a drizzle of vanilla cream cheese glaze. Perfect for fall (or anytime of year!)
#17: Cherry Cheesecake Scones. Fantastically delicious scones with plump cherries and chunks of both vanilla cheesecake and white chocolate baked right inside. A perfect addition to a Mother's Day or Easter brunch.
#6: Whole Wheat Blueberry Scones. Using whole wheat flour and with no added sugar. These are a wholesome and delicious option, and with all those naturally sweet berries, you won't miss the refined sugar one little bit.
#1: Raspberry White Chocolate Scones. Our holy grail, fan favourite scone! These raspberry white chocolate scones have been a hit on Rock Recipes and have become a must-have weekend brunch item for many of our followers. Try them for yourself!
I think the cranberry or partridgeberry scones would be delicious with apple butter

I made the Raspberry and white chocolate scones and took them to a potluck... they were a tremendous hit... I made a single batch and put 12 oz of frozen raspberry and 12 oz white choc chips... I used an ice cream scoop and baked them on parchment like a cookie..... they were yummy and my husband & I could not stay out of them... Iprepared the dry mixture with the butter the night before and put it in the referigeratorm ( actually mixed up several batches and kept them in the fridge for several days)... then when i was ready to bake them I mixed the wet mixture and baked them... the frozen berries seemed to keep the batter cold so that they did not spread out too much...
