Does this beautiful scone look familiar? Regular readers will recognize it as a very popular recipe from last month.

I actually made this batch of beautiful scones a full 4 weeks ago!

When I first made this batch I thought the result was excellent. However, I had to admit that they did take a bit of effort to accomplish.

That’s because of the necessity to bake and freeze the cheesecake component a day in advance.

With all that effort going in, I thought it was a bit of a shame that their enjoyment would be so fleeting.

I decided to experiment with freezing half the batch to bake later. Boy, was I glad I did!

Putting the scones to the test.

I woke early this morning and placed the scones on  a parchment lined baking sheet and let them thaw for about 30 minutes. 

Then I popped them into a 400 degree hot oven for about 25 minutes. I also think letting them thaw in the fridge overnight would also work very well.

The result of this little experiment was outstanding!

I don’t know that I would be able to tell the difference between a freshly made batch and those baked from frozen.

From now on I will be routinely freezing scones and maybe making double batches to enjoy several weeks down the road.

Freezing Scones for planning.

So if you are trying to plan a brunch in advance this is an excellent way to get ahead! Maybe you just need just a few for your small family or yourself. This is also a great solution.

Maybe you don’t have an occasion planned. Maybe you just would like to have fresh scones for weeks with practically no extra effort.

If you want to enjoy a few every weekend for several weeks, this idea will be right up your alley.  

Heck, forget weekends, I think these would make Monday mornings much more tolerable! 🙂

Could you please tell me : Can you make jello marshmallow squares using sugar free jello and sweeteners? I would love to make these squares but I am diabetic. I have searched all over the internet for an answer Do You Know?????????? I asked you this question before but I never received an answer.

You do realize that sugar-free jello has aspertaine in it. At body temp. it turns to a poison called wood alcohol. You should talk to your doctor to see if this would be bad for your diabetes.

Hi B.I live in Oklahoma and my family in St. Johns sent me your fabulous cookie cookbook ' I really was looking for Prince Willian cake recipe , I found it online and the recipe called for golden syrup and digestive cookies. Could you tell me what I could substitute in place of these 2 items as I can't find those items in Oklahoma .Woul

appreciate any help and why can't I see the recipes on your website. Thanks in advance for your help. Patricia Bennett.

Corn syrup for the golden syrup and any type of crisp oat cookie will do. Maybe even graham crackers.
